The government of Myanmar realizes that due to the geographic location, demand potential, availability of raw materials and human resources, the food sector is seen as one of the most promising sectors for not only domestic industrial development but also for export growth. The Myanmar Agro Based Food Processors & Exporters Association was founded on 21st August 2006 with the aim of developing the food industry of the country.
